Harts’ “Breakthrough” Grooves In The Name Of Social Change

Australian artist Harts is one of those talents who can make you feel lazy with a simple glance at his bio.  Writing, producing and performing all of the instruments on his funk-rock compositions, Harts has drawn comparisons to the early work of Prince with his ability to balance pop sensibility alongside electric riffs that punch with the power of Hendrix or Lenny Kravitz.

Fiitingly, on his latest single, “Breakthrough”, there’s a call for social change reminiscent of the Woodstock years.  Set to a melody that demands a dance floor, its positive undercurrent surges like his frenetic riffs.
