Toronto indie rockers Goodnight, Sunrise have a bit of a tradition:  they celebrate the birthday of the band itself.

Oh sure, it happens to fall near band member birthdays, too.  But the birth of the group itself is celebrated annually, in style.  At past shindigs, I’ve left with broken drumsticks, loot bags that rival most of my childhood parties, and more glowsticks shoved into my hair as accessories than might seem reasonable.

This week brings another birthday bash with a killer line-up at the Horseshoe Tavern, and as part of the festivities, they’ve released a video for “Liar Liar”.  More specifically, it’s a video tribute to the shenanigans of the best house parties.  Featuring cameos from High Heels Lo Fi and a keytar pinata (I am jealous), it’s a hilarious romp that fits the playful yet scathing track.
