During a recent Indie88 Black Box Session with Matt Mays, the soulful singer-songwriter treated listeners to an acoustic cover of a song he admits he’s in love with:  Serena Ryder‘s “What I Wouldn’t Do”.  Serena’s fantastic all on her own — I recently featured the track over on 2020k as part of the Northern Lights series — but Mays adds a bit of melancholy grit to his take that is memorable all on its own.
