Growing up in the 80s, Platinum Blonde was unavoidable.  “Crying Over You” is the single I remember best from my childhood, although the Toronto New Wave band held several slots in the charts in their heyday.  Their synthpop-kissed brand of rock had the masses dancing, so much so that they were inducted into the Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame in 2010.

Much to my surprise, the band released a new album in 2012, Now Or Never and have followed upon it with their first video in decades.  Directed by Jesse Mann, the high fashion aesthetic of the video perfectly aligns with New Waves sensibilities.  Check out the video for “Beautiful” below and visit Platinum Blonde’s official site for more.
