30 Days Of Music: Day 23

A Song You Want Played At Your Wedding

This one’s been set in stone for years now as the first “o hai! it’s my reception so DANCE guests!” song.  I love it passionately.  I blame the film Lost and Delirious for my insistence on it.  Piper Perabo spikes the punch and starts a dance party at a boarding school’s snooty little tea and crumpets-type luncheon slash orientation.

It captures the spirit of what I want my own wedding to be – and what I don’t want it to be.  I want a fun, festive, relaxed party.  I want to sing and dance (and get drunk).  Isn’t that what a wedding really should be?
