The Gathering is one positive thing I can take from my relationship prior to my current one.  Introduced to me in 2007, I immediately fell in love with Anneke’s voice, the simple and beautiful lyrics, and the prog-electronic rock music blended with ethereal notes.

This song, aside from Broken Glass (previously featured in this year), is my favourite, and live is even better.  Their album Souvenirs is a fantastic place to begin exploring them.
