For day 4 of Cyndi week, a sadder track, but a beautiful one.
In watching the hit-hungry crowd at Pride, it seemed that no one cared for or expected sad songs from Cyndi. They expected fun, dance-filled tunes, joyous celebrations of life and love. Even True Colours is meant as a “cheer up” sort of song. The obvious exception would be Time After Time, which was well received. But tracks like this one exemplify why Cyndi is still around: she captures emotion honestly, across the spectrum.
