Summer Songs 2010, 7/7

For the final song in this stretch of songs that stick with me in warmer months, I’m going with something homegrown.  With apologies to South Park, you simply cannot have a summer mix without this gem.  Not only does it reflect on summer adventures that many of us have, but it also hints at the pains we face when we grow up and realize that those summers of our youth are finite.  There’s no recapturing that same essence in your twenties, thirties, and beyond.
