Many years ago, during my last year of high school, I used to tutor to make extra cash. One of the girls I used to tutor lived with her Christian mother, who censored much of her music and TV and sent her to Bible group each week. Thankfully, she allowed her to express herself with her manner of dress, and allowed some leeway on what was acceptable or not.
One of the CDs she genuinely loved, and made me love alone the way, was Jars of Clay’s Much Afraid. This track is one of my two favourites on the CD, and has been on frequent rotation as of late, for reasons of writing and moody dwelling on the past that can’t be undone.
