In helping to spread love at a music community I love, I was reminded of how much I love Heather Nova’s earlier work, how awesome in particular her albums Oyster and Siren are.  I also rediscovered my live collection, and in turn, remembered how much ass Heather can kick with her angrier songs in the live forum.

This is one of my personal favourites.  It’s a more acoustic live version, but it still is so hard all the same.  Reminds me of my last ex, particularly the line, “Sugar, sugar/You couldn’t come come/Sugar, sugar/Without your mother mother…”  Freaking Mama’s Boys…
