On this, the eve of Christmas, I’m going to send a song out to a number of people all at once.

This is for the long-term friends like Mary, Jenna, Joe and Peter (and others), who stand by me no matter how bad things get, who always support me in what I do and who I am.

This is for the new dear ones, Sara and Meg and Linda and more, who have slipped into my chaotic world and overwhelmed me with your love and kindness, whose kind words have shone a light on darker days.

This is for every person who has shared their heart with me through fanfiction reviews, through PMs, through their own words, or just reached out to me in any way.

This is for the family that is truly family to me, not merely blood relations.

And last, but definitely not least, this is for Dan, who is the embodiment of genuine, honest love, and has washed away all false notions of what I should tolerate, leaving me with immeasurable beauty.  I am so grateful you are persistent with damaged girls and so devoted.

I love you all, so much.  You are extraordinary, and I treasure you.
