How can anyone who holds Halloween dear not love the wonder that is The Nightmare Before Christmas?
Perhaps one of the crown jewels in the Disney empire for its ability to reach across age barriers to ensnare even the more cynical of us, the tale of Halloween Town’s king, Jack Skellington, and his decision to commandeer Christmas as a way to assuage his boredom with his own holiday is genius. I never tire of its wonder, of its message of finding your own spirit and embracing it, as opposed to becoming something you’re not. And, in the case of today’s song, a clever Hamlet reference will get me every time.
Spook it up, my pretties.
